Born in Philadelphia, Annette Peagler has more than 12 years of multimedia journalism experience. 

Annette first joined WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio as the station’s first ever Apprentice from The E.W. Scripps Company. Through this two-year program, she learned every aspect of the newsroom, from reporting to the assignment desk. She took all the skills she learned through the program and started to produce the weekend newscasts and "one-man band" various stories throughout the week. 

Following that two-year program, Annette became the Good Morning Tri-State Weekend Producer at WCPO-TV. She turned stories throughout the week, where she was a one-man band, shooting, writing and editing her pieces. 

Annette has also worked as a Multimedia Journalist at WKEF ABC 22/WRGT FOX 45 in Dayton, Ohio for a little over a year. She shot, wrote and edited her stories for air and posted them online. She also was an active breaking news reporter. She also worked as the nightside reporter for WLBT in Jackson, Mississippi and was a fill-in anchor. 

Annette has also worked as a weekend anchor for WATN-TV in Memphis, Tennessee.  In that role, she turned stories throughout the week for the night beat and led a staff of about 10 people for the weekend evening newscasts. 

Annette graduated Cum Laude from Hampton University with a Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English. Throughout her tenure at Hampton she had several internships during her summers. She’s interned at WCBS News Radio in New York City, WAVY-TV in Portsmouth, VA and even interned at WCPO-TV. 

Annette volunteers for the Urban League and Girls Inc. She’s also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She has previously served as Secretary for the Memphis Association of Black Journalists.
